About

That’s Love Records is an independent record label founded by Alejandro Garcia (Thee Sacred Souls) and Max Shrager (The Shacks) in 2024.

The two were introduced by Daptone founder Gabe Roth in Riverside, California, at one of Thee Sacred Souls’ first gigs in 2019.

They formed a friendship and began recording together on a regular basis during Shrager’s three-year stint as a resident of Los Angeles from 2020–2023. These collaborations led to releases including Bobby Oroza’s "Queen of the Barrio" b/w "Goddess" and several cuts on Las Los’ debut LP, as well as numerous as-of-yet unreleased instrumentals.

In 2023, Shrager linked up with fellow New Jersey native and Latin-soul singer 54 Ultra. After producing the track "Heaven Knows" and playing it for Garcia, the two decided that the time was right to co-found the label they had been brainstorming for years. Thus, That’s Love Records was born.

The label’s debut release, 54 Ultra’s "Heaven Knows" b/w "What More Can I Do," quickly gained worldwide attention, earning a spot at #10 on Rolling Stone’s “Best Spanish-Language Songs of 2024” list.

Early 2025 saw the label issue French/Mongolian harpist Céline Dessberg’s "Selenge" b/w "Chintamani." The record became a global phenomenon, selling out its first pressing in a matter of weeks and appearing in the soundtrack of Gucci’s 2025 Cruise Fashion Show.

With a commitment to championing unique voices and genre-blending sounds, That’s Love Records is poised to continue growing as a force in the contemporary music scene.
