Caj Rio is the instrumental solo project of Alejandro Garcia (Thee Sacred Souls). A-side “Hot Mezcal” feels like a lost MF Doom sample, with a fat backbeat, soulful horns, and woozy mellotron. B-side “Paradise” evokes a tropical landscape, in which a psychedelic chicha guitar trades melodies with lush violins.
